A quick update on my life. (It sadly involves my geeked out lifestyle)..
There are some books I have had on a list for YEARS that I've been told to read. These books are loser romance novels that I know the moment I pick up I'll be regretting that I started them in the first place. Here's the list: (yes, this is a hint at stocking stuffers)

Persuasion by Jane Austen. Now, I will be completely honest. Out of all the books I am "told" to read this is the only one I'm looking forward to because I loved
Pride and Prejudice.
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Sooooo, apparently this book is supposed to be one of the greatest love stories of all time. If it's anything like Nicholas Sparks'
The Notebook. I will be thoroughly disappointed.
Paradise Lost by John Milton. This is a really, really long poem (I think). Why would I want to read a really really long poem? I hear that this book can actually make grown men cry. If this is true, then I will be pleased to read it. I just hope I can get through how painful it sounds to read.

Coming in at a whopping 838 pages is the last book I ever want to pain myself to read:
Middlemarch by George Eliot. While I enjoy Eliot's writing, I don't think 838 pages of it is really worth my time.. howeverrrrrrrr, this book is very high on every list of TOP 100 books so I suppose it is worth the read.
Atonement by Ian McEwan. Yes, I have never read this book. I will get on top of that just as soon as I have the extra money to buy it! =0S

Last, but certainly not least, is
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (put two dots above the last e) I've heard great reviews about this book and it's the second one I actually feel like I would enjoy reading behind
Persuasion.I know a lot of people probably think I am crazy, but I plan on having these all read by next year. Hopefully, my classes don't occupy my time with with "required readings." I just hope the juice is worth the squeeze!
