The other day in class my teacher wrote something up on the board and then erased it...but left one prominent line of blue EXPO marker on the board. MAN! That really gets to me. So, what do I do when this happens? Ignore it and pay attention to the lecture? PSH! NO! I start writing down all the things that really get to me. Here is the list:
When I go to the Q and tip the ketchup bottle over my tots and the first thing that comes out is red water. SICK.
Bananas that look so deliciously yellow when you buy them but you wake up the next day to eat one, and they have 59083493284903 bruises.
When the driver pushes the unlock button right when I pull up on the handle, leaving me still locked out.
Waitresses that wait until I have just taken the largest possible bite of food ever to ask me, "How every thing is tasting" only to leave me grunting an awkward answer back to her.
When Netflix waits til I have 12.99 in my bank account to charge me for my subscription. (I must admit, this has happened three times in my life...sad.)
When I turn off all the lights in the house when I leave for school, only to come home and find Caroline turned them all on when she left. FML.
When I'm driving on interstate and someone cuts into the left lane going 68 mph causing me to drive that slow past six semis.
When you go to someone's house and they don't have a fan or anything in their bathroom. This causes every one to hear your pee hit the toilet water. AMAZING. GREAT. PERFECT.
Oh, and people who put toilet paper on the roller with the paper going UNDER and not OVER.
Well, there you go, just a few of my pet peeves that really get to me. At least the ones that I came up with while sitting in "British Novels Into Films" class.

Our walk in Frontier park!
Being outdoors is clearly not something I do every day. Sadly the only outdoors I see is my walk from my house to my car, and from my car to Rarick hall. This morning, after tossing and turning all night, I got out of bed at 6 am- what elderly people do at 6 am when they wake up is beyond me, because I found nothing to do. Bored, I decided to go for a run. I'd like to state that exerting energy in physical activity is something I haven't done since before Jaci was born. There just isn't a time when you are a single mommy. So I start running....and about 15 minutes later I have to stop running.
"FIFTEEN MINUTES? That's all I've got in me?" I thought. WOW, I am out of shape. So it's been decided today through much contemplation in my own head that I need to get into shape. How do you do that though when you have a daughter? DUHHHH!! You do the activities with her! Jaci and I went on a nature walk today at Frontier Park.

I realized today that I don't have to take time away from Jaci to do a little physical activity, but I can involve her and we can do it together. After all, kids need to be outdoors. So, Jaci and I walked over to Old Fort Hays and she was so excited to run around! She was super bummed that all the historical houses were locked so I promised her this week that we would go some time. I showed her the buffalo too. She wasn't as impressed with them because I was 'wrong' they were papa's COWS and not BUFFALO! Too cute.

First post
It seems as though a lot of our family members have started blogs to keep everyone up-to-date on their family's life. Jaci and I have decided to do the same. Once I explained the concept to Jaci, she was "all aboard!" In fact, we started with a little photo shoot to get the bloggin brains started on ideas for our blog:

Jaci and I started school this past Monday. My first class is at 9:30, and I was leary of whether or not she would be upset about going to her first day of preschool. I bought her a backpack, and we packed it full of goodies for school in hopes that maybe that would excite her about going.
