5K? or 1/2 mile?

My sister, Mindy, had me join her March for Dimes event team for Wesley Admissions. The day of the event, Jenny took Jaci down to the March for Dimes EVENT while Mindy and I started our "walk."

"How long is this walk/run, Mindy?" I asked.
"Ohhh, it's like 1/2 mile to 1 mile." She replied.

Wow, that's not long at all! And we continued walking........and walking........and walking. An hour later, I came to the conclusion that Mindy and I were the slowest walkers on the planet or this was a 5k event- it was the latter. We had a great time though and we had a lot of time to catch up!!
