realization..

I am not a perfect mother, nor do I claim to be. I don't get to spend all the time I want to with Jaci, and sometimes I snap at her when I am frustrated at something completely different. I am a single mother. I have such a busy life that sometimes I don't stop and smell the roses that are right in front of me. I've come down with the disease called "perfection." I'm finally admitting- I am not perfect and I probably will never be.

I am tired of trying to be the perfect student striving for A's. Honestly at this point, I would rather get B's and C's and get to spend time with Jaci. She's such a sweet little girl, and it really does bother me that I don't even have the time to play with her every night. You know what bothers me more? Her life is passing right by me. The sad thing about all of this is it took watching the Justin Bieber 3D Experience for me to realize all of this.

I obviously do not have a lot of money, but there is one thing that I need to purchase for Jaci and me: A videocamera. WHAT???? You don't OWN one? No, I haven't bought a new one since she was a year old. I'm so excited to go out today and purchase one that I can hardly contain my excitement! The moment I buy it, I will do some test videos with Jaci and we will definitely post them for all of you to see! =0)

It's time to focus more on being a mom than a student. My employers aren't going to remember all the grades I got in my literature classes, nor will I. But I will remember the fact that I put my daughter and I's relationship on the back burner for "A's."

Dylan won his THIRD state title!!! What a BEAST!

Round 2

It's time for my second dose of "State Wrestling!" My first experience came when Caroline's high school boyfriend, Dan Weigel, made it to State in 2009.

He won his championship at 119-pounds his senior year! We were all very proud. What's crazy about my whole life story is that the next year, when Dan was in college, he was hired at a high school to work with an "elite" high school wrestler who needed someone to push him at his weight. That "elite high schooler" was my boyfriend's little brother, Dylan! What are the odds, right?!

So, here I am sitting in my 9:30 class not paying attention because I know at 10:00 I will be leaving to head over to Gross Memorial Coliseum to watch Dylan's first match and I think I am about as nervous as Derek is!

Andrew Joseph Werth

My handsome little godson, Andrew Joseph Werth, was born on Friday weighing in at 6lb 4 oz and he was 19 inches long! Such a tiny little guy! I'm so excited that he is finally here, although, I think Jaci is a little jealous! haha
Notice that I am wearing my "GAGA" tshirt because she had Andrew the same weekend as Regional wrestling- and yes, Dylan won his regional tournament! Four more days until STATE!

Lately, I've been trying my best to workout as much as possible without "over doing it." Keep in mind this little lady hasn't seen an ounce of physical activity that didn't involve carrying Jaci since JACI WAS BORN (12/8/2007). I mean, even when I was pregnant with Jaci you could find me at CHI jogging on a treadmill or playing volleyball against the Ellis High School team. WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!

This picture suits my life perfectly. I sit my butt on the couch and am usually with a book nearby (thank you English classes..) For the last two weeks, I've been working out when I get downtime. The question I always ask myself when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to go is, "Do I want to spend one hour working out today, or 24 hours a day for the rest of my life being fat?!" Ick. Don't want that! So I'm off to a healthier lifestyle all the while getting ready for the lenten season by cutting out meats now. UGH! WISH ME LUCK!
